Any of you that are interested in working with Esenai have ideas on other businesses that we can work on
together? Feel free to contact me. (I really dislike the idea of losing great people because they do not have
the "proper" clearances.)

I'm in the process of hiring a Business Developer Consultant that can help me drum up some business. That
way I can find positions for the great folks that I've already met. Just so you know, my short-term goal is to
have 5 Esenai team members besides myself by the end of the year (20051231). I can't wait to have our first
team meeting so we can start collaborating on how we want to continue to grow and what areas of business
we want to proceed with.

I wish I had the capacity to find the right people to join Esenai without having to worry about having to place
them immediately. I've corresponded with some great people that I think could be the right people for Esenai
but I cannot make an offer until I have a project available for them. I know these great folks need to provide for
themselves and their families so I understand it if they are accept positions with other companies, but
naturally I'd prefer that they join Esenai... Now that I think about it, if you are interested in working with Esenai
and you know of a project where you would like to work and have a POC there, feel free to pass any
information you can along and I will approach that project's leadership. In the best case, everything will work
out and you can join Esenai and work on the project of your choice and earn at least an extra $8000 (
$4K for
referring yourself and $4K for referring business). Do you have any other ideas on how I could keep the great
people?

I've decided to start keeping some thoughts online because I am concerned and maybe some of you that
view Esenai's website may have some ideas... I am concerned because after reading
Good to Great by Jim
Collins I realize that after striving to become a Level 5 leader, I must find the right people. The problem is that
since I started actively recruiting this month, I have spoken to and received emails from some people that I
think would be the right people and that I would be very interested in hiring, but for whom I have no positions
for at the moment because of the clearance requirement. (All of the active positions I have are for TS/SCI
cleared folks with full scope polygraphs.) I am trying to establish contracting relationships with organizations
that require only the TS/SCI, but it is difficult since I have no inside contact with them. So what can I do to hire
the right people if I don't have immediate positions to place them in?
I've thought about it and I ideally would like to bring the right people that I've met already on board with Esenai
so that between us (the right people and me) we can decide what Esenai can do to be successful and grow
the company. This actually relates to the Good to Great concept of "First who, then what..." where they found  
(based on extensive research) that great companies find the right people first and then worry about what to
do.
